Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GetItDone ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Louis Venter as a sole proprietor based in South Africa, collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our web application at gitd.co.za (the "Service"). We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Information We Collect

We only collect what we need to run the Service:

• Account details — your email address and password (passwords are stored encrypted; we never see them in plain text).
• Profile information you enter — such as your name, age, training goal, experience level and body-weight logs.
• Workout data — the sessions, exercises, sets, reps and personal records you record in the app.
• Subscription status — whether your account is on a free trial, active, or cancelled.

What We Do NOT Collect

We never collect or store your payment card details. All payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Paystack. Your card information is entered directly into Paystack's PCI-DSS compliant systems and is never visible to us or stored on our servers.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and let you sign in.
• To provide the core features of the Service — tracking your workouts, progress and personal records.
• To manage your free trial and subscription.
• To respond to your support requests and feedback.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your account and workout data are stored securely with Supabase, our database and hosting provider. Access is protected by row-level security so that each user can only ever access their own data. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the Service:

• Paystack — processes subscription payments. See Paystack's own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
• Supabase — provides secure database, authentication and hosting.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage and essential cookies only to keep you signed in and to cache your data for a faster experience. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information. You can update most details directly in the app, and you may delete your account and all associated data at any time. If you need help, contact us at support@gitd.co.za and we will assist you.

Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information and workout data are permanently removed from our systems.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
